OMG, I'm so sorry (and glad) i'm not the only one having these problems. I've had them off and on since Jan and never gotten them resolved. I too have filed with the BBB but don't expect it to help. Stupid me had an email addy on my resumes and so who knows how that's hurting me. My experiences have been exactly the same as others. I'd also be interested in a Class Action suit. I totally have never gotten any credit from them on their "uptime guarantee". STAY AWAY!!!

Hello, all. About a year ago I moved not one but TWO sites to accuBURST/PolariStar LLC. The sites were up and down during that time, but as of the end of September the sites have been down except for one or two days a week. If it's not the web server which is down, it's the databases. If it's not the databases or webservers, it's their routers or DNS servers. Right now one domain (childfreedonia.com) is still down in its entirety and has been for about 1 whole month. The other site went down Sunday night/early Monday morning (November 6th, 2006) and now only has the HTML portion working. My database seems to have completely disappeared, which means the discussion forum and dynamic content portion of my site is 100% useless. Regardless of the particulars, the fact is that the 99.9% uptime "guarantee" is a joke! I've called them repeatedly but get dumped into voice mail after 1 ring. I've emailed them and received only robot replies saying "your support request was received." I get robot responses that say "your site is now working", but when I look at it nothing has changed. As of yesterday, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Connecticut, but they've had as much luck as I have in locating someone there. (If you haven't looked, accuBURST/PolariStar LLC has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB.) Finally, in an act of desperation, I checked with the Connecticut Secretary of State to find out the attorney of record for accuBurst/PolariStar LLC. (In addition to being a web developer, I'm also a certified corporate paralegal.) I have called him directly and filed a complaint. If I don't receive a satisfactory resolution soon, I will be filing a lawsuit against them under CHAPTER 735a* of Connecticut Law -UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES. This statute allows for class action lawsuits as well. If anyone else here being defrauded by accuBurst wishes to participate in a class action suit, please contact me. In addition, I will supply the information here for you to contact this attorney directly. He does answer his phone. I got him on the first try. Galiette Manager 3 Teal Lane Essex, CT 06426-1046 Please be aware that if you wish to file a complaint with the BBB or a legal complaint against them you MUST reference the parent company (PolariStar LLC) and NOT accuBurst. They have screwed with the wrong b*tch. I have also called my credit card company and placed a fraud alert against them so that they can no longer bill my card for services which aren't being provided. The absolute worst business I have ever seen. No email, no site, no account log in, just a receipt from these criminals saying I Was billed. THe cowards dont answer emails(like 12 of them this week) or the phones. Good thing I live far away, or I would knocking on their door!!! Stay far away from this company its the biggest scam Ive seen, and as for you clowns giving good reviews, PLEEEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEE, give us all a break.

Accuburst finally returned my money in October after requesting cancellation in August. Working through the Better Business Bureau seemed helpful, as the company sent them a friendly email written to me to the local BBB office, claiming they'd refund my money the following week, which they did. Inexplicably, I did not receive this notification, or any communication from this company. I still cannot verify that my account is cancelled, though the site is still active. Buyer beware.

It says that I am hosted with them still but not by choice. These slimy little bastards will take your card and repeatedly charge you for services without your permission. You can try to contact them but they will not answer ("all customer service reps are busy" says the machine constantly). They will not respond to your emails. Their trouble ticket system is broken. Their Live Chat system is broken. They will do anything they can to avoid you. Stay away from these scum Accuburst sucks! Don't believe me? Try to call/email/live chat with them... try to get any response... then try to do it 3 times in a row.

I must say that I had previously hosted with them about 4 months ago and it all went well for a few months and then it started to go downhill with there first excuse of a hack attempt. It was almost everyday that I had my site down and people where complaining to me asking what was going on. I lost almost $180 with them but I am so happy I left and started my own company because now I control my own servers. Unless you want problems, AccuBURST is not recommended.

Do not use Accuburst. Uptime guarantees are a lie. Refunds are a lie. No customer support, no one answers the phone, no way to cancel or change an account. They will bill you for services they refuse to provide, and generally show contempt for their customers. The worst of the worst.
